Ship Through

Modified by your upfitter and then delivered by Ford

  • Upfitters pick up vehicles from the Ford factory, modify them, return them, and then the Ford Transportation Network executes final delivery.
  • Ideal for large fleets with high production orders.

Drop Ship

Delivered from the factory to an upfitter or location of choice

  • Configure a vehicle and have it delivered to one of our thousands of upfit drop ship locations.
  • This is a helpful process for large vehicles that can't re-enter the Ford Transportation Network.

The system enables a vehicle to communicate with upfitted equipment, which helps upfitters install modifications efficiently and reliably, while allowing them to easily create custom controls for customers.

This enhanced integration between the vehicle and its upfit equipment also provides safety benefits for operators working in the field. For example, a vehicle can be prevented from driving while upfitted equipment is in use.
