5-year/160,000 Kilometers Commercial Vehicle Gas Powertrain Warranty

Commercial customers with a valid Fleet Identification Number (FIN) Code are eligible for an increased New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW) powertrain coverage of five years or 160,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first, on the following Ford Vehicles:

  • 2022-current model year F-150® (excluding Raptor® and Lightning®) Pickup
  • 2022-current model year Super Duty® (F-250® through F-600®) Pickup & Chassis Cabs
  • 2022-current model year Stripped Chassis® (F53/F59)
  • 2022-current model year Transit™ Cargo Van, Passenger Van, Cutaway and Chassis Cab (Excludes E-Transit™)
  • 2023-current model year E-Series Cutaway & Stripped Chassis
  • 2027 MY Explorer®
  • 2027 MY Maverick®
  • 2027 MY Ranger® (excluding Raptor®)
  • 2027 MY Mustang® (excluding GTD)
  • 2027 MY Bronco® (excluding Raptor®)
  • 2027 MY Bronco Sport®
  • 2027 MY Mustang Mach-E®
  • 2027 MY Expedition®
  • 2027 MY E-Transit™

 

F-650®/F-750® trucks (2022MY and later) with a 7.3L gas engine are eligible for a 5 year/160,000 km or 4,000 hours of engine operation powertrain warranty (whichever comes first). F-650/F-750 trucks (2022MY and later) with a 6.7L diesel engine are eligible for a 5 years/400,000km or 10,000 hours of engine operation powertrain warranty (whichever comes first).

Vehicles must be reported as a sales type “fleet” at the original time of sale. To become a Ford Fleet account, for vehicles that which are owned and operated in Canada, you must register for a Fleet Identification Number (FIN) Code. You will also be asked to provide proof of eligibility documentation for the vehicles in your fleet. This powertrain warranty extension will stay with the vehicle even if the vehicle is subsequently sold to a non-fleet customer before the expiration. This extension applies to both gas and diesel powertrains.

8-Year/160,000 Kilometers Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Unique Components Warranty

Ford Motor Company provides warranty coverage for the parts specifically designed for hybrid and electric vehicles. This coverage lasts for 8 years or 160,000 kilometers from the Warranty Start Date, whichever occurs first, and covers the following components:

  • High Voltage Battery: The core component that powers your hybrid or electric vehicle.
  • Bussed Electrical Center (BEC): Manages electrical power distribution within the vehicle.
  • Battery Energy Control Module (BECM): Regulates energy flow to and from the battery.
  • Onboard Charger: Charges the high-voltage battery when connected to a power source.
  • Inverter System Controller (ISC): Converts direct current (DC) from the battery into alternating current (AC) to power the vehicle's electric motor.
  • DC/DC Converter: Ensures that the low-voltage systems receive the necessary power from the high-voltage battery.
  • eDrive: This encompasses the electric motor and associated systems that drive the vehicle.
